About Shelly

Shelly is a late-twenties, married mother of 4 living in Lynchburg, Tennessee where they have two chihuahuas – Maya and Miguel, and raise chickens for 4-H, food & eggs. She considers herself a Harmony-Seeking Idealist – meaning that she is a complex creature who essentially should be a ‘peace, love & happiness’ kind of hippie, but instead is a backwoods country gal who loves God, Family & Friends.

She has a strong desire to succeed so once she’s dedicated to something, she doesn’t give up. In 2012, she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and although she exhibited signs as a child, it wasn’t until adulthood that she was diagnosed with OCPD. Shelly loves reading, writing/blogging, organizing, gardening, cooking, spending time with good family & friends, sitting on the front porch, and enjoying life in the country.

Luckily for Shelly, her husband also shares some OCD tendencies thanks to his time in the U.S. Navy. Their boys are very involved in sports so their family practically lives at either the baseball or football fields for most of the year.
